Today someone in my German class asked the teacher about Kristallnacht. She proceeded to tell us Kristallnacht was “the night that Germany got bombed during WWII and all of their fancy chandeliers fell and shattered into a million pieces.” Then she said the “kristall” in the name was from the chandeliers being made of crystals. I wish I was kidding.
